She can offer personal care, with extensive experience & expertise, in the treatment of musculo-skeletal problems and sports related injuries, in order to speed up your recovery.

Jenny is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (MCSP) and registered with the Health Professionals Council (HPC).  She is recognised by all major insurance companies.

On your first visit, there will be a detailed examination and assessment, which will be individually tailored to your needs. Jenny will listen carefully to the type of problem you describe and analyse what structures could be affected and how they should be examined.

Following this, Jenny will discuss with you a treatment plan, how many treatment sessions you might need and how much improvement you can expect to achieve.
The conditions treated include:

Sports Injuries
The cause of the injury is important to establish. Treatment can then be specific and might include correction of any muscle imbalance and advice regarding a modified training programme. If necessary, referrals can be made to other specialists, such as orthopaedic consultants, and orthotists for podiatry assessments.

Spinal Problems - Neck & Back Pain

Stiff painful backs and necks

Sciatica & referred pain

Slipped discs

Headaches

Joint Problems
Stiffness and pain in arthritic joints
Frozen shoulder
Tennis elbow
Golfers elbow
Post fracture pain and stiffness

Post-operative Rehabilitation
It is very important to maximise the benefits of surgery, using a good rehabilitation programme. These are discussed with your Surgeon and applied to your individual needs.

Whiplash
This often can have an excellent response to early treatment.

Acupuncture
Jenny is a qualified acupuncture practitioner and a Member of the Acupuncture Association of the Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP). When appropriate she uses acupuncture for pain relief, in areas such as the lower back, neck, shoulder, elbow, arthritic knees and sports injuries. It is often used in combination with other physiotherapy techniques.

NB: The National Blood Service requires a certificate from donors who have received acupuncture treatment. Jenny will provide this on request.
